Once again, That is a disgrace to a TL if you want to gook out a car buy a civic! I'm so sick of people buying into the latest, TRASHY, trends in cars, you are no better than all the girls who like the backstreet boys. Rory

I thought I read somwhere that the hood in the picture was not actually made of carbon fiber but instead is just a regualr tl hood covered with carbon fiber material. Maybe I am wrong.

NO The hood in that picture is real carbon fiber. Maybe it has fiberglass underneath, but not the regular TL hood, that's for sure.

the hood in the picture is made of real carbon fiber and it looked really nice in person. unfortunately it was for an RL and when i went to put it on my car it was about 6 inches too long. yes, i was and am royally pissed because i am still riding around with a dented up hood. i am still waiting to see if there is some way that i can get the c/f hood somehow. the idiots at fiberimages said that they must have mislabeled the hood somehow and that they have never made a hood for the tl. if you look in any of their catalogues and on their website, though it still says they make a hood for the tl. what a bunch of d!cks.

It sucks man. I heard there is an awesome shop in orlando that makes CF hoods. I don't know the address or phone, but if you could find out, that would be really cool. I'll try to find out too.

trust me it is for an rl. we put it up to a 98 rl that was at the shop and it was a perfect fit. looked just like the tl hood but about 6 inches longer.

i was going to see how i liked the look of it unpainted before i made that decision steve. thought it would look pretty cool b/c i saw a pic of a max that was pretty close to the same color as mine w/ a cf hood and it looked good. oh well, guess i will never know.
