Question Do you turn off VSA often?

Just wondering when and how often you guys run with the VSA off.

for me i run VSA OFF by default. i live in sunny socal so i don't need to worry bout slick roads. i guess you can drive with VSA on by default and it won't limit your acceleration/handling too much i guess. i would only turn on VSA if it was needed...

Sup man,

Don't the yellow light get annoying after awhile and don't you lose horse power if you turn it off?

The dealer told me I would only 'need' to disable it if I was trying to get out of a pile of snow. Are you guys driving your cars so hard as to spin the tires taking off (mine's still in the break-in period)?

P.S., The manual also says to disable the VSA when the spare is being used.

Nick,

My dealer told me the same thing. He basically said that I should leave VSA on by default, in fact, if I remeber correctly it turns on by default everytime you start the car. VSA should only be turned off if you are stuck in say a mud puddle or something.

I just leave it on to avoid the yellow indicator in the dash. And it doesn't seem any difference leaving it on or off so might as well leave it on to help me ride.

I thought there was no break-in period.

The manual states a 600 mile break-in period.

OK, OK, I admit it!! I do drive it hard so that the wheels spin and VSA kicks in and tries to save me. But, you know what, I would not drive it any other way!
