Do you think this is a good deal??
I went to the dealer a couple of days ago and they are willing to sell me a 2002 TL-P SSM for $29,799 + TTL. This includes the wheel locks, trunk tray, full underbody kit, and rear spoiler. I think that's a good deal. I'm not interested in the 2003 since I don't want navi. I'm just waiting for my application to go through with the credit union and off to the dealership I go!!!! What is your opinion on this quote? Thanks.

That's not a bad deal but I think people were paying close to that before the 2003 models were out...you might be able to haggle it down a little more...or if you wait another month or so (once the 2003 models arrive) you may be able to get it for less.

The price sounds about fair, but my sugg is to do this. Once you get your approval from the credit union call the dealership. Tell them you've been giving this a lot of thought and your giving serious consideration to waiting for the 2003s, and then shut up! Not one word until they respond. They probably will say one of two things. More than likely they will ask if they can do anything about the price, which if they do you say well how much better can you make it? If they say how much less do we we have to make it, you then say well talk to your boss and see what more you can do and call me back. ( Remember, alway's a question with a question)Now if they If they call back with more of a discount then that will be the indicator that there all in dollar wise. If you really want to take this farther no matter what he tells you , you tell him you'll call him back in a couple of hours. If he say's ok I'll wait for your call and offers more discount then you definately know there's no more discount. You need to follow this procedure or you won't win. Remember your a part time buyer and there full time salesmen! Good luck!
