Why is it that the horn noise that honks when you arm the car is a wimpy little squeak but when you honk the horn it sounds normal?

You 2000+TL guys are lucky because you have that elegant electronic beep. Our 99's have this horn which sometimes sounds like it's dying. I wonder if I could switch it to the beep... Anyone know how?

Also, I might mention that I never noticed this before. I only noticed the fact that I look at my TL so much when a CUSTOMER told me.

That was revised so that when you sneak into the house at 4:00am, you don't wake up the whole neighbourhood (and your other half) by arming your car.

I don't know but I am sure as hell interested. I really don't like that wimpy horn sound, I want a damn beep.
