Do the TL-P headrests work on the the TL-S

I think the TL-S headrests are absolute JUNK and functionally useless, and very uncomfortable to boot.

Anyone know if I can replace these easily w/ the TL-P headrests which a) tilt (tl-s don't) and b) are actually comfortable?

Yes. The TL-P headrests will fit the TL-S seats. The TL-P have the tilt function. The comfortable bit is purely subjective. You'd have to try. Maybe you can test drive a TL-P at the dealers. If you find an extra black set of TL-Ps, let me know.

Forgive my ignorance but when you guys say "TL-P" you're talking about the regular 3.2TL, not the Type-S right?

The reason I ask is that I have a 2000 3.2TL and I'd like to replace the headrests with the Type-S ones. My car is SSM with the "ebony" interior so I'd be interested in trading headrests.

The one concern I have is that I've read that the headrests won't quite fit (the height adjustment notches don't work the same?) and I'm really anal about making sure any mods I make work properly with the least amount of cutting, bending, etc.

If I could be assured of proper fitment, I'd be interested in trading headrests.

Are you sure about that?? Mine doesn't.

I think headrest will not fit. The space between 2 pins might be different. I am just guessing though...

I had 99 TL, 00 Civic, 01 Civic, 02 CRV, 03 Accord (yes thats one car for every year). None of them have tilt function. So its safe to say Honda doesn't make Tilt function in their cars. They just don't seem to think its important.

The head rests WILL fit however the adjustment notches are on the wrong side. A few minutes with a Dremel tool will fix that.

Same here for my 02 TL-P. They tilt forward a few inches.

a big reason I went with the Type S is for the seats (not the headrests) they are much nicer than the TL-P seats. Volvo has the best seats in any car IMHO.

TL Mugen,
Likewise ,I have a '00TL.
I just noted that you have cross drilled rotors on your car.
Of what make is it and how many miles approximately since you
installed it? Any favorable comments/complaints on its performance.
Many thanks,
juniel

Didn't care for the perforated leather in the S (or the jittery ride)
