How can this be done, I think that would give the car a cleaner look. Has anyone done this? Whats your opinion?

the only aftermarket tails for the TL are ones that look like 02 tails. if you want the rest of ur taillight red, just use red film and cover whatever part you want to be red.

I had my old set of tails lying around since I got 02 Tails. So I decided to try making it all red out. I used this paint used by R/C modeler to paint their windows on their RC car. It runs around 3-5 bucks a can and you need atleast 4 (or atleast I did). These can be found at most hobby shop or online. Just make sure remove the tails and let it dry overnight. Remember to do light coats and test how much light gets thru after each coat. Don't go overboard.
The other way is to use those aftermarket stuff for tinting taillights that you can buy at Pepboys. These run about 15 dollars a can. This route I would not recommend because the brand that I tired Nite Shade left the tails a dull color and its more expensive.
If you decided to try either of these, remember its there forever, If you use some kind of solvent to wash these off, the clear coat will be gone, so your tails won't look glossy anymore. Some of the aftermarket tint does come off after awhile but make sure you get the right kind if you might want to take it off.
