Do Acura OEM wheels HAVE to have OEM wheel nuts?
The Acura OEM wheels have a seat that takes the rounded nut.
It is a problem if I have non-acura wheel nuts that have a trapezoid shaped end?

as long as they are the correct thread and taperd seat for the rim there is no reason why you would have to have oem ones

The mating surfaces of the OEM nuts and OEM wheels are dome-shaped, whereas those of the aftermarket nuts and aftermarket wheels are tapered-shaped. Only if OEM nuts are used with OEM wheels or aftermarket nuts with aftermarket wheels will the nuts be fully seated. Aftermarket nuts should NEVER be used on OEM wheels. Otherwise the nuts will crush and thin out the seating areas and as a result ruin the OEM wheels.
