Did my first oil change today... noticed idle rev is slightly lower?
Finally got around to do an oil change for my baby and switched to Mobil 1 after hearing all the good things about it.
5 quarts of oil set me back for about $21 and the oil filter @ $11.
Spilled some dirty oil on the ground but I learned and next time will be no problem at all.
It could be just my imagination but the car feels less sluggish after the oil change. What do you guys think? Does it take a little while for the ECU to get used to the new synthetic oil?
Also, I noticed that my idle rev (stopped in P or D4) is lower than prior the oil change. I think it was around 1 - 1.25k rpm but now it's at 750 rpm constantly. Not bothered by it but I would just like to find out. Thanks guys.

Three Wheelin'
hmmm....
ya 1k-1.2k RPM seems very high for the RPM's to be at when in P. Mine has always been in and around 700 RPM at idle. It sits on the line just below 1k RPM.
As far as I know, sythetic oil should not change any of your idling characteristics at all, just helps to keep your engine in perfect running condition, and lasts a lot longer than conventional oil.
Good job making the switch, I did on the third oil change too (Honda recommends you do the first 2 oil changes with their oil since apparently it has an additive in it to help with the break-in period).
