I had been saving up to buy a TL sometime in the spring, but I couldnt wait any longer to buy it. My old car was in an accident and I needed something to drive, so I took the plunge last night and bought it. Had to have the silver one, 2001 non-nav. The final price was $27000+ tax and license, so my cost out the door was $29,500. I worked the guy for 4 hours, so I am hoping I did it right. Did I do okay?

That sounds like a decent deal.

From edmunds the Fair Market value of the 01 TL is $27,755 and invoice to be $25,738 and MSRP to be $28,550.

I'd say in your situation, where you couldn't wait any longer and were foced to buy your car earlier, you did well.

Yeah, I'd say it was a pretty good deal, especially since you really needed a car. I was lazy. When the car first came out(late 98), I called and ordered one from the GM at Marin Acura. It was not negotiable at the time b/c they had waiting lists like 2 people long. ANyways, I bought at MSRP, got wheel locks and mats, and wa really ahppy about it. Even though you got a better price than me, I am still stioked by this car. I think you will love it. Congrats on the new car and welcome to the TL family.
