Yea I saw that in the new issue, but they don't say which models. I guess it's the entire Acura lineup

Too bad its just "number of problems" and not "type of problems" The way they do it a tranny failure carrys the same weight as a squeek or rattle. WTF?

Some people here only had one problem with their TL...tranny.

Specifically they rate the transmission as excellent. Figure that one out.

Personally I never had a problem with my tranny in the 2 years I had the TL. The local dealer hasn't had that many transmittion replacements, and everyone around here I know that has that transmittion hasn't had an issue. I'm not saying a problem doesn't exhist, but I think that the simple nature of a board like this tends to project the problem to be bigger than it is. I do think Acura does have an issue, but I think it isn't affecting more than 3% of the units from '00 to early '03s. I'd have no problems with buying a TL in that range simply because of my past history with Honda. If there ever is a problem, they'll figure it out and take care of me, they have in the past.
