Default Rotor/ brakes for TL 2002
Hello,
I need to change the rotors and brakes on my 2002 TL and the parts are ludicrously expensive at the dealership. I have bought brakes and rotors for another Honda few years ago from an auto shop and they weren't very good quality. I don't want to repeat the same mistake with Acura as well, that's why I am looking for some suggestions as to what kind/ brand rotors and brakes are very close to the dealership parts in terms of quality and performance, please.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Best!!!

For nearly 20 years I've used Hawk HPS street (HB366F.681; front - HB145F.570; rear) with plain Brembo front & rear rotors on my '03 CL-S6.
RockAuto has the Brembo rotors for a good price, even better if you use the 5% discount code on the 'Vendor' page.

On our 2001 TL-p I am putting on Brake Motive painted black calipers, drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. I bought them last year around this time and they were about half the price they are asking for that setup now online. Amazing how much those parts have gone through the roof in price.
They have been sitting in the box while I have been dealing with getting the transmission fixed.
I am hoping they do well as a complete set. I have used Powerstop setups on my other cars (Mustang, Explorer, MKS, etc) with great results so I hope the Brake Motive stuff is on-par.
I will also be putting on new brake hoses as well as doing a complete brake fluid flush and refill.

I am in Canada, so the prices are even more over here. Brambo rotors and Hawk pads are costing me just little over $650 for the full setup.
I am also looking at Powerstop Z23 Evolution Sport peformance, that'd cost me around $460 all together. Is it a good brand?
Thanks!!

I run the Z23 full setup (with their drilled/slotted rotors and powder coated calipers) on three different vehicles and they are great. Low dust, washes right off with no scrubbing. Good braking power.
Stay away from the heavy-duty/tow Z37 series as they dust a bunch, eat the rotors and don't last.

Thank you for the wonderful suggestion - it helps a lot. I actually ended up finding a Z23 for half the price on Amazon. I guess I can't go wrong with such glorious reviews and amazing price.
