The question you should pose to them is this: "Did these mods cause the transmission to fail/have problems?" and if so "Exactly how?"

If they can't come up with anything other than "We think you've been racing it." Then take your copy of the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act and point out to them that it has to have a DIRECT correlation for "cause and effect".

So far I've found the service dept at the dealer where I bought my car from to be pretty much a bunch of idiots.

What kind of springs and headers are they....

If its COMPTECH don't worry about. They don't void your warranty even if it is the cause of the problem...

You would think the dealer would be more than happy to swap your tranny no matter what mods are on the car.

After all, they get paid from Acura. They don't have to worry about bounced checks, stolen credit cards, or any other nonsense. It's like money in the bank for them to do the swap.

Almost true....

Acura had a deal a while back, that Acura would not void warranties if the car was equipped with Comptech parts... like BMW with Dinan.... HOWEVER, this did not include the supercharger.

This deal ended a year or so ago, but most dealers still honor it, but its still up to them again. But my dealer said just make sure its comptech and "i wont kill you" he said
