Dealer service history

I recently purchased an 03 TL from the original owner. I registered it at acuraowners.com and it showed the recall status but not the dealer performed service history. Is there an easy way to get this or not? The dealer that performed the service is about 45 miles away so I can't just drop by.

Thoughts or suggestions?

thanks

From your post, I'd assume that the previous original owner did'nt give you any of the prior maintenance records or receipts for whatever reason. Maybe they did'nt have a need to do anything......or preferred not to disclose any issues.

Ya never really know for sure. But, if you really desire finding out what the dealership had done in the way of service with your TL......simply call or e-mail them, tell them that you are the new owner and would like to be brought up to date with the proper recommended service. They will more than likely give you all the previous repair history for your car and advice you of any future PM needed. You are now their potential customer and they will work towards getting your future business !

Personallly, I'd stop by and get to know them....maybe even schedule an inspection or oil change. It may pay off to develop a working relationship with the service manager.

Usually, calling the service department at the dealership that maintained the car should do the trick. However, some dealers will require the previous owner's consent to release the information to you.

My car lived in VA for the first 3 years of its life and that dealer would not release the maintenance history without the previous owner's consent. However, the dealership in NJ that worked on the car thereafter had no issues with giving me whatever service info I needed.

this is not a big deal
call service MANAGER with the VIN tell them new owner and you want to know any history or suggested repairs they know of
You are not asking for last owner personal info,,just the cars!

Also reg with acura care 1 800 382 2238x5 they do recall notices

myacura is for the owner to log things, not the dealer system

recall section: OPEN means not fixed!!!
## except `trans extended warranty` OPEN = means is WAS part of the VIN group but time has passed

there is little required, 60k fluid change, 105 major service with tune-water pump
also needed but not in book: EGR system cleaning = diy remove intake manifold
its due for all fluids by now as most dont change them at 60

get on the new honda dw1 atf !
