Are you planning on replacing your low beam bulbs with 12000K bulbs?

If so, be aware that you'll lose a lot of usable light on the road with 12000K bulbs. The OEM D2R bulbs are 4300K and they provide the maximum visibility at night.

Replacing one D2R bulb for another is fairly easy to do. Seach the forums and you'll find a number of "how-to" threads. You'll need a tamper-proof Torx T-20 driver.

just change it youself it really easy....the only thing you have to find is a set of security allen keys.....(the ones that have a hole drilled into em)......remove the screw that locks the cap behind the headlight, twist off the cap , twist off the connector to the blub, push back the metal wire the holds the bulb in place and then pop out the light.....pop in your new one....it will only fit one way because of some groves that are cut into the plastic of the bulb......and just make sure you don't touch the bulb when your putting them in......follow the steps backwards then your done.....

dreem1er's installation instructions are excellent.

Just for clarity, you'll need a tamper-proof Torx T-20 driver and not an Allen wrench. An Allen wrench has a hexagonal shape while a Torx has a 6-pointed star shape.

The tamper-proof Torx bits have a hole in the center.

For the driver side bulb, you'll want to remove two plastic air vent pieces to allow better access. On the passenger side you can lift up a fluid reservoir and shift it off to the side.

And again, I would think twice before installing 12000K bulbs. With the higher Kelvin bulbs you will not be able to see the road as well at night. There are many discussions on this topic. Search for "12000K" to find some of them. And you can also blind oncoming drivers because of the glare.
