Question Cutting Weight

How much weight could you cut by using racing wheels over stock???

not that I know anything about it...but I would say not by a whole lot....I think the material of rims are more important...

The stock wheels and tires weigh 46-49 pounds. You can get lighter rims but I don't think you would drop significant weight.

Well on a family sedan, it won't matter much. Our cars weigh to much for some wheels to make a huge difference. On a Lotus Elise or Mazda Miata, it will make a difference.

My '00 TL stock - 42 lbs wheel and tire. Wheel was 20, tire 22.
