Curb Weight
Ok I been on this forum for a while now. I've noticed a lot of you guys saying that the weight of your TL's are around 3500-3800lbs. Are you people sure about that? The curb weight on my door jam says that my 03 TL-S is close to 4500lbs. So where are you people finding that your cars are in the 3500-3800lbs. range? Or did I just misunderstand what you people were saying. Sorry, just had to clarify a few things.

Three Wheelin'
from what I have gathered, the curb weight of a stock TL or TL-S is 3558 lbs...I'm not too sure if this is correct though after finding this out....
anyone know the real weight?

3,558 is the correct weight for the Type-S. That 4,500lb. number you saw is the maximum weight it should be total with the weight of the car, all driver & passengers and all luggage and gas. BTW- That 3,558lb. number is with a full tank of gas.

Curb weight is the weight of the vehicle with all fluids in the car at their full level (gas, oil, radiator, etc.) and no people or cargo in it.
Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is the 4,500 (or whatever the true GVW is for the TL) of what the vehicle with the curb weight plus the people/cargo capacity of the vehicle.
Hope that helps!!
