Curb Owned Me

So last nigh tim driving after it has rained and i come to this stop sign. I come to a complete stop, like a good driver , and than proceed to make the left hand turn. I must have been accelerating too quickly because, well, i lost traction abd BOOM front right wheel nails the curb. I couldnt have been going more than like 15 so i didnt think it was too much, so i drive home and Im thinking, its all messed up, but little do i know how bad it is messed up

Power steering - busted

Right front upper control arm - busted

Right Knuckle hub and bearing - busted

Right lower control arm - busted

Right Radius arm - busted

Right wheel - dented to hell

Cost - < $2500

Bye bye TL while they fix it for the next week
I hate friday the 13th!

Sorry to hear about your accident.

But if you thought 15 mph was fast, check this out. A few years ago, I was driving an oldsmobile and was about to make a right turn going only 5 mph because there was a dusting of snow on the ground. To my horror, the car kept going at an angle and I rammed right into a telephone pole on the corner. Needless to say, I had a U-shape in my front hood.

yeah, it surprised me how I just lost control so easily just acelerating normally like i always do. I even tried to take it easy since it had just rained ..... I knew it was going to happen right when i started to slide, like i couldnt control it once it happened.

I over - corrected lke a mother too, to add insult to injury lol

You think this is worth reporting to the insurance company?

If you got the $$$ then don't report it to the insurance. Cause that will only increase your amount.

Did TSC or VSA kick in when you are starting to slide?

more reason to get rid of the stock tires... a thought that is always on my mind lately (just dont have the $$ to get it right now so i dont push the car to its full limits)

sorryto hear that at such low speed it slipped out. its a tragic event cuz i know how i wud feel if that happened to me... 1. id be upset 2. id be mad at myself for not controlling the car better

hope things work out for ya
