early sat. morn, still sleepy.. parking next to curb.. well that was the general idea. DAMN these tires sidewalls are weak! ripped two chunks of rubber off the sidewall... one all the way to the cord.. and that was at like 2mph (if that).. pfffff.. I wont be buying Mich again.. 180 beans for a new tire 2day air.. geeez.. be carefull all..

I just picked up my new TLs last wed, and on friday I had a similar experience. At about 5-10 mph I touch the curb and tore a 1-inch hole in my sidewall.

I hear your pain. There is nothing worse than getting a new car then not being able to drive it while waiting for the tire from tirerack

Not curb scratches yet... some how I started to make an habbit of parking my cars several inches away from curb(I used to park very close to curb, within 1")....

Did the same a few weeks ago - in the dealer's lot no less.

They wanted $205 to replace the tire, I invested in a set of nice aggressive Falkens instead :-)
