Crashed my baby last night on the highway. The damage doesn't seem to be as bad as I though when I hit the car. The way it happened was the car in front of me jammed on his break and didn’t give me enough time to brake fast enough. I must of come to a standstill from at least 25mph, so for the car to only break the bumper and bend the fender is not bad (I’ve seen worst). My concern now is that I want to bring my baby back to the way it was. I need everything original(no cutting corners), front left side bent back to perfection so if I take the bumper off, you cant tell anything happed and a place where they specialize in Honda(TL’s) because my check engine, brake, and SRS lights are on. Also my seatbelts won’t return back to its origin (why is that?). Basically the left side is f***ed up. The funny thing is that the lights didn’t break the headlight nor the fog lights. Anybody out here in the NYC area please let me know if you can do the job or recommend me to the best shop for this project. Color is Midnight blue.

the shops listed on that site, are the bests. i recommend anyone needing a body shop to look there for the nearest certified first shop. it's like a club for autobody repair. only the elite can join.

Have you use these guys before? I would like to know anybody that have used body shops before for their Acura's to come out better than new.

Creative Auto Collision does nice work on LI. They're on Fulton Ave. in New Hyde Park if I remember correctly. A few of my friends have had stuff done there.

You have an number or a website? Do they have ovens, I need the paint job to be exactly the same of the rest of the car.

They have anything from Corollas to Lambs in there. I'm 99% sure they have an oven. Haven't stopped by in a while. Joey is one of the owners. They will have to see the car before giving you a quote.

BTW your seatbelts won't return to normal because the pretensioners "deployed"... this also is why your SRS light is on. The CEL and "BRAKE" lights are on most likely due to engine damage or damage to brake parts, possibly a fluid leak so make sure you keep an eye on that before you jump in and drive it. It's likely the damage is worse than you think due to unseen parts, but as long as your airbags didn't deploy and it doesn't have too much body damage, it should be repaired. But your insurance will be responsible.

Thanks for the quick info. Sofar, i haven't seened an fluid leaking or brakes going further than normal. The insurance company is not paying, is coming out my pocket. That's why I need a good place but pay the least that I can for a good job. So is L.I worth the trip or just go to Hunts point which is closer. BTW, how do i get these lights to go away once i fix it?

I don't think you're going to pay the "least" at that location. You do get what you pay for at that shop though. Didn't realize this was coming out of your pocket....ouch.
I have no idea about hunts point, so can't comment on that.

There is a place in Kearny that does good work and is reasonably priced. Hes done work on my car as well as other members on the board, and we all were pleased with his work.

Nicky T. Collision on Remsen Avenue and the corner of Ditmas Avenue in Brooklyn is one of the best body shops in the city. The number is (718)-451-5500. Tell him that Justin (my friend) sent you, he'll take care of you. Black is hard to match and he'll do work to make it like your car was never hit. Don't go half-ass with body work with a black car, trust me.
