A couple questions . .
Hi guys, hopefully someone can answer these for me . .
1) I recently bought my 2000 TL w/ 85k. Previous owners bought extended warranty on it and i was told it would transfer to me b/c it comes w/ the car. Now the dealership is trying to say that it is NOT going to transfer . What do I do ? Are they right ?
2) What kind of maintanence should i be looking forward to as i approach 90k ?

Most extended warranties are transferrable to the new owner, but it's not automatic. You should contact the warranty company and find out their procedure.
As for what type of oil and how often....opinions are like noses, everyone's got one. Personally I switched to synthetic when I got the car with 37K and run about 9-10K between changes. I don't know if that would be advisable with 90K already on it, perhaps someone else could comment. No doubt someone will say I'm wrong for what I do, others would agree with me. Point is, about the only things you'll get agreement on is 7500 is too far with regular oil, and whatever oil you do use should be of a good grade, major manufacturer, not "convenience store's finest".

If you bought the car through a dealership, it should be transfered without a problem, my gf bought a used 03 CL from the dearship and the previous owner had purchased the extended warranty. She paid no extra fees except for purchasing the car and has a 7yr/62,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. If you purchased the car from a non-acura dealer, then you may need to go through acura/honda head quarters to re-register the car under your name for the warranty.

spark plugs - cabin air filter and engine air filter - tranny fuid - all other fluids (brake, steering, radiator)
thats what i would do... i'm at 97k and thats what i've done in the past 5k... except brake fluid... planning to do that soon..

try contacting Honda Customer support, they are more likely to help you than the dealership.
