Could this be my tranny going?

First time today I was going about 30 mph, and my car acted like it was coughing, but when I watched the rpms the car was jerking, like it was shifting between gears back and forth, I gave it more gas, it was having trouble going, then it shifted and took off. It has only done this in the past around 45mph, but now 30. First time, I will have to keep an eye on it, but the tranny otherwise shifts fine.

8500 miles so far. If it is the tranny, Guess I didn't install the cooler early enough
Should I just watch it more, because if I can duplicate it, the dealer won't do anything.? Anyways, let me guys know what u think.

Yeah I would say it is the tranny. Keep an eye on it. If it keeps on happening let the dealer know. The dealer should take it in and replace it if the tranny is going.

Mine has been doing that since it was new. 7000 miles and I have not noticed any slipping, only the lurching. I can watch the tach jump up and down when it does this.

Yeah... mine's been doing the same exact thing for a while now. Right around 45 mph, I figured it was confused as depending on throttle position, that's about the speed it'll go to 5th and lock the torque converter.

Like you said though, the dealer will try to duplicate it and if they can't... they won't do anything about it. I already took it in because it shudders a little when cold, shifting from 1-2 with anything more than leisurly throttle. But... they couldn't duplicate it, so they wouldn't do anything.
