Post Could it be??????

Ok, question: In the luxury class, which car AGAIN sold more units than any other?

ANSWER: Acura TL, at 68,229 units.

****APPLAUSE****

The closest competator to the TL was the BMW 3 series sedan with 61,992 units.

Also, Honda's Accord (not suprisingly) was the number one seller in it's catagory (with 412,074 units) by outselling the Camry by more than 24000 units. Here's the bigger margin though.... The Civic was also no suprise bing the number one selling car in it's catagory too, it sold 323,074 units. The Civic's closest competator in sales: Ford Focus, with a VERY distant 261,542 units....

Here's Honda's official press release:

That says a lot about the cars we are all driving... I have always loved honda's and acura's more than toyota's and lex's...Although, im about to be family to the new lexus SC430...My mom is totally sweating this red one here and she wants to trade in a new 2001 MB 500SL for that piece, believe me im talking her out of it...Damn, I hate the new camry too, I cant wait to see the new accord, hopefully it will outsell them again...Shyne

I wonder if the new Camry will outsell it next year ? I'm already seeing alot of them, and I think the new Accord won't be out for another year. That is the one downside to the TL, they're becoming too common to the point that people won't give it a second look, like a Camry or Accord. Remember the PT Cruiser and the New Beetle, same thing, no one cares now that they're everywhere. I will say though that the new ES pushes the "entry luxury" level up quite a bit beyond every competitor. I sat in one the other day, there's wood everywhere !! The leather (same as LS430) is ridiculously soft. Not overwhelmed by exterior, but at $38k loaded it's pretty nice. Maybe Acura should do like Lexus does and offer limited edition versions of their vehicles to further set them apart.

But I rather have the 2nd+ generation TL over the 1st generation TL anyday.

BTW, congrats to Acura and Honda!!!!!
