cost of service?
my fellow TL-S owners,
how much did it cost you for your first service (after break-in)at the dealership? i was quoted at my dealer for the 1st service(scheduled maintenance) which is 3750 miles for $24.95 and the 2nd service which is 7,500 miles for $150.00 Have you heard the cost from your dealership?

I don't understand why people get 7500 mile service. It's nothing but a rip off by a dealer who is trying to convince the car owners that it will benefit the car. My cousin used to be a dealer at Honda, and he told me all about that 7500 mile bull.
Just change the oil every 3000 miles and pay attention to your car on stuff like fluids, tires. You'll save more money!
TLs do not require service for 100k miles.

I won't get my Type S until Monday, but I did pick up a service schedule from the dealer yesterday. They charge $23.45 for the 3,750 mile oil change. They charge $88.25 for the 7,500 mile check-up. Here's what they do:
Change the oil/filter
Inspect brakes (pads, discs, calipers, linings), and adjust if necessary
Rotate & Balance tires
Inspect tie rod ends, steering box, suspension components, driveshaft boots
Check steering linkage, fluid lines and ball joints.
If they're charging you $150, you might want to find another dealer for service!
