correct tire pressure

What is the correct tire pressure to keep my tires at all year round?

03 TL-S

The book calls for 32lbs. but I'm sure there's quite a few on here that have it at something else to accomodate there particular need or style of driving.

i run about 40-45 psi.

32 is too low for me. i need it to be firm cause of the 19's

i am generally around 38 to 40.. mostly to squeeze a few extra mpg out of the tank.. not even sure if that HAS given me better milage..

Normal pressure.. my Acura dealership (Acura 101 West, LA) always returns the car with 36 psi in there.

how about for a 225/40/18 nitto 555 tire? any idea what the right tire pressure is? thanks

running 35 psi on all 4 stock tires. just check 'em every month (or 2 weeks if you willing).

Look on the door panel. That's the pressure that the engineers have determined gives the best compromise between ride and handling. More pressure gives sharper handling and better mpg. Run 28-30 psi for a smoother and quieter ride.

I used to live around the corner from 101 West. Bought my 2K Integra there. Eric still working in service? He'd kill me if he knew i traded it in for a 2K2 TL-S. =) Thanks for reminding me of home.

I run 36 in the front and 32 on the rear, seems to give even wear and
still handles great under all conditions

You could try this, just don't get caught:

Find a cement parking lot and lay down a burnout. Take a look at the stripes on the surface. If each tire mark is darker on the outter edges of than the middle then the tire is under-inflated. If it's darker in the middle than the edges then theres too much air in it. If it's a consistant color the whole width of teh mark then, like Goldilocks, it's just right. You may have to lay down a few patches after the air adjustments to see if it's right.

Just keep in mind that laying down rubber is gonna heat up the tire and the air in it so the pressures will change too. You may have to let the car sit for a few hours in between trials.

I usually kept mine at 38 front and 35 rear. It kept the tirewear more even.

I followed the pressure on the doorsill for about a year or so on my 92 vigor and the outer edge wore down much quicker so I cranked up the psi and that seems to help. Better gas mileage too.
