I was wondering if anyone knows the police code for speeding...or street racing...if there is one.

 

in Phoenix it is a 510 Speeding or racing is what you will hear on the radio.

Above is where I got the code from. I hear all kinds of crazy SHlT on the scanner... I usually do my Java programming and listen to it late at night.

He totally kicks ass and has been ordering all my parts for me I have not even been to scottsdale acura, for me it's a farther drive. I live on 23rd and dunlap and go to Devry...

woah!! that's helpful, but i'm more interested in finding out the code for street racing.

 

In Miami if your listening to scanners and hear a 2 second beep it means that its serious enough to put on lights and sirens. Nothing much but its another thing to add.

My brother in law was in an accident last night, guy hit him from behind. The guy had been drinking heavily and so had my BIL. BIL was scared he would have to take breathalizer but he didn't. The other guy was argueing with cops and they placed handcuffs on him and sent him to emergency room. I slipped my BIL a piece of gum and I could still smell the liquor on his breath. When the cops called him over I went and kind of stood between him and the cop. After reading this post I kinda had an idea of what they were saying when the were talking in code. It was kinda neat.

 

Most jurisdictions are going away from codes. I know here in DC we state what we have right over the air. However we do use some 10-codes, similar to california.
