Converting F to Celcius?

Is there a way to convert my temp reading on the guage cluster from F to C?

FWIW - I am a pilot and C to F conversions are abundant.

A quick and dirty method for converting.

if 10C then take 10 x 2 = 20 then add 32 to get 52F

This is not entirely correct because of the 5/9 as someone mentioned, but it will get you within a couple degrees F

Conversely you can say....

if 72F then subtract 32 to get 40 and then divide 40 by 2 to get 20C

If you want to get real precise and can do it in your head easily (I can't) then use 1.8 instead of 2 to either divide or multiply, using the first example....

if 10C then take 10 x 1.8 = 18 then add 32 to get 50F

I know, its just a formality, sorry;

"Revised" equation:
10C then take 10 x 1.8 = 18 then add 32 to get 50F
10ºC * 1.8 = 18
18 + 32 = 50ºF

Previously Stated Equation:
5/9 (F - 32) = C
5/9*(50ºF - 32) = 10ºC
