Three Wheelin'
007 most low end grunt comes not from breathing but from leverage. This is low end torque. V8's kill us here because they have eight pistons pushing away. In low RPM's you are not blasting away with gobs of air and fuel like you are at 6000 rpms. I don't think headers hurt there as there is still alittle backpressure downstream, the cat and the middle muffler. At higher rpms the more air and fuel you can move the more horsepower (total output of the engine) you will make. You want alittle backpressure, but our exhaust manifolds are restrictive. Why? Because the more bad air you can get out of there on the exhaust stroke the more good air and fuel can be let in to replace it. That's where the power comes from.
