Comptech springs

Hello all, I've had my TL-S since June 2002 but I am a new member to this community. I think it is also time for some MODS!!! I want to suck the wheels up into those large fender wells a little bit. I want to achive about an 1-1/2" drop all the way around and have been thinking about the Comptech's. Would I also need to install an alignment kit due to negative camber? Any advise or comments would be helpful. Thanks.

Thumbs up

I just installed my Comptech Springs this past weekend, and boy does it ever make a difference!!
Comptech 1.75F/1.5R

You also have other options besides Comptech as well,

H&R Sports 1.75 all around
H&R OE Sports 1.0 around
Nuespeed 1.75 all around

Alignments are recommended after the springs settle a bit, around 2-4 weeks..

Do you notice any side-effects? Like negative camber. If so do we need to install any other kits to compensate for this? Also do you have stock wheels? And last but not least do we have to roll the fenders with the Comptech's Thanks for your speedy reply.

So far so good, and from other's members comments about this that I have been reading about, there are not affects on the camber, even after having the comptech on for a year or more.

Seems like they don't lower enough to present a problem.
And you don't have to roll the fenders unless you are planning on maybe 19" wheels and wide tires.

Right now I'm on stock wheels, maybe this summer I'll upgrade (hopefully).

Oh yeah, Welcome to the board by the way.

Welcome to the family.

I've had Comptech springs installed for about 7 months now and have had no problems. It doesn't seem to have a major neg camber b/c my tires have been wearing evenly so you should be safe.

Hi-beams

Thanks for all the input on the springs looks like the ride will be dropped. By the way I just finished installing Silverstar 9005 hi-beams and they are sweeeeeeet! I know I rarely use the hi-beams in So. Cal. but they are much cleaner looking than the OEM's. They almost match the HID's perfectly, much whiter & brighter once they warm up. They are a nice contrast w/my Piaa super plasma 9006 fogs.
