the comptech exhaust tip is very close to the rear of the factory body kit piece. It is burning it up and making a little black show on each side of the exhaust cutouts. Anyone also have this problem? What can I do to prevent further damage?

 

I say if you have that problem, go to www.expel.com and buy some of the transparent film (not that precut ones, but the square ones you can cut out yourself) and then cut some pieces into shapes that you think will fit right above the exhaust tips and apply them, that film suppose to withstand pretty good amount of heat, and you rather have that film get black instead of the kit...or you can go to exhaust/muffler shop and have them bend the tips down about an inch or so...

 

I can't remeber specifically where I saw it, but there is a self adhesive backed foil insulator material. You might want to check your local performance shop.

Why not have a muffler shop bend the rear muffler bracket so they hang a little bit lower.
