Godspeeds.

Both these cars run them.

Daily driven and tracked, I'm also going to get me a set after riding in that ILX.

I can get you a deal on them as well

I would PM you but your inbox is full.

springs will lower the car and destroy stock shocks = not meant to operate in that range of their travel

good coilovers- love my TEIN, serious technology and construction allows full travel of its shock = reasonable ride on lowered car, and the bottom spring perch can be adjusted up or down on a threaded shaft to set the ride height of the car = drop amount

for 1g you can find a used set on here in our Black Market- private sales threads- probably between $500-750, plus install cost or replace the top hats if not done when first put together
There are upgraded top hats- the upper plate/bushing and studs that connect to the car- for improved ride or handling

What part of the country are you in? someone may see this and contact you with parts!

I definitely recommend TEIN for a quality coilover in the sub $1,000 range. Which model really depends on what you want from the suspension. Do you want adjustable damping? Do you want to slam the car? Autocross it or just daily drive?
If you want something for daily driving that has some adjustability I'd recommend the Street Advance. They have 16 way damping adjustment and ride height adjustment as well.
TEIN Dampers - Street Advance - Excelerate - HOA - Japanese Performance Specialist

Keep in mind we are having awesome clearance pricing on our XLR8 ISC coilovers. They feature 32 way adjustable damping, independent ride height/preload adjustment, and come with a 5 year manufacturers warranty. For $799, that's hard to beat!

I have run the Tein SS for about 5 years, on my 01TL
It has 16 way adjustment for rebound oil control, but I find it stays on one setting for wife, and I turn them up to full stiff for my daytrips thru the mountains

If you share the car or like to play with buttons- Tein has a controller with electric motors that adjust the shocks with a push of a button on control box in cabin
Go soft for big bumps or tighten for crossing dips!

That said, I prefer the adjustable so I can pick the setting, not be stuck with factory setting- which is higher than what I use.
When the need to carry passengers in back arrives- its a minute to tighten the shock settings = keeping most of the fender edge unmolested by wheel travel

adjust in a minute = I am referring to the rebound dampening only- leave the top portion of rear seat loose, then it pulls forward for access to adjuster knob on top of tein SS- hidden under rear panel

to adjust the cars ride height requires the special tool to move the locknuts,
and sometimes a spring compressor to remove load while you do a major adjustment
That's still only a few minutes per wheel
