when I reverse,say about 5mph and let go the accelerator,I hear a very loud clunk,is this normal?

 

Man, i got a problem on reserse too. When i startup the engine and yeah gotta back up , so i put on reverse and it happens everytime. It like a big shaking backwards, its like some one hit u in the front and it makes ur car move back 1 or 2 inches. So i dont really using the Reverse no more lol. I use Neutral to backing up .

 

I have the same problem, and I still have no clue what it is. Everytime i put in reverse i get scared that my tranny is gonna come out, but its been 167k and still on original tranny so i guess im fine?

 

You might need to replace your motor mounts.

 

It sounds very much like a motor mount.

 

Hey guys so the motor mount is some kinda DIY thing or need to take it to body shop and let them do it. Lol i dont no anything about car though.
