Climate Control Weirdness - need advice
Has anyone else seen this behavior with a nav-equipped TL ?
It's about 40 degrees out, and above 60 in the car, you open the vent via the LCD and the a/c pumps out very hot air at all settings except full max A/C. Even after the interior gets warm, it still pumps out hot air. after an hour or so, it returns to normal and cool air comes through
The Dealer swears the thermostat is fine. Has anyone else seen this sort of thing?
Thanks
W.

hey there, I have a similiar problem if not the same. I have a 2nd generation TL with Navi. Sometimes when the weather is about 70-77 degrees outside, my AC for some odd reason doesn't get cold. I will put it on speed 3-5 with AC chosen and it seems as if its only air coming out. After I drive a good 30 minutes or so, it will get cold. Its ironic. Also I've experienced before that my AC will work if I select AC off on the LCD monitor. Does anyone have anything to add to our posts? Thanks!!!

i have an 03 with nav, what I've experienced is that whatever temp you turned it off as, is what it will contunue to pump out even when your air is turned off. If you don't want AC on but still want heat, hit the "off" button on the lcd and it will turn your AC off, and get very warm. If you want it to get cold, turn the AC button on the lcd screen ON along with setting the temp to a colder temp;ie 60.
