Cleared Headlights

What type of silicone did you guys use to reseal the headlight? and would those heat guns used to put tint on work to melt the silicone?

I just used regular clear silicone and did NOT clear out the grooves like some DYI docs say ... I put mine in the oven though ... It got damn hot still tolerable. I've had no issues and its been a year since I did it.

for clearing use clear silicone...for blacked out use black silicone...n as for cleaning the grooves...u should do it for a better seal...n DONT worry bout the excess over flow when u put it 2gether...DO NOT WIPE IT OFF...or else it wont seal rite...wait after it dries...like the next day...then slice it off with a blade...xtremely easy...
