Question Cleared corners - anyone ever try this one

Instead of totally removing the orange blinker, how about remiving it, covering it with the reflective silver foil and then putting it back into the light.

I think it would look really cool. I finally saw what cleared lights looked like, VicnycTL's ride. It looked like something was missing in the light.

I'm thinking about taking out the orange reflector, covering the front of it with silver metallic tape, and then putting it back in. I think it would look cool. What do you all think?

It would probably look pretty coolr, but I forget exactly how your bulb is postioned in the housing, would the blinking turn signal still be visible then, or would it be blocked by the foil?

Looking at it, it appears that it would be able to blink through. I gotta look at it some more before I decide to crack one open. I'd hate to open it up just to find out it won't work.

The other thing I'm thinking about doing is buying a clear piece of plastic that looks like the yellow piece and shaping it to fit in the opening where the yellow one is. That would probably be better.

More research.

if ur gonna waste ur time taking out the reflector, and putting mirror tape on it, u might as well jsut put mirror tape on the outside. thats what i did, it covers the whole ornage rflector, and only took about 10 minutes to trace and cut. BTW, even tho the reflector is blocked, u cud still see the blinker from the side by the way the front of our headlights r sloped... its hard to explain, but if u look at our car exactly from a side angle, u cud see the side of the headlight not just the part with the orange reflector. therefore ppl cud still see that im signaling with the reflector blocked.

When I clear my lights I'm going to paint the orange reflector with silver/chrome paint. I think some others have done this also.
