Clear out the front

I want to clear out and Xenon the front of my 03 tl-s. The fogs and the parking lights. I know the fogs all I need is the xenon bulb and how do I do the parking lights. Also, are there specific xenon bulbs that are better than others. Does anyone have any pics of it all clear.

The FAQ that explains clearing the front will help you with direction on how to go about clearing.

I can't help you with the bulbs, their part numbers, or which kinds are the best. However, I think there is a more work to make the fog lights HID. You don't just need a bulb, I think you need a special HID ballast as well. Not sure on that fog light though -- maybe someone else here could confirm this?

Lots of people have pics of their cars in their sigs. Or at least links to them. Maybe try the gallery forum for pictures.

Follow Paxus' link fro the FAQ as that should help you.

Regarding the bulbs for the fogs... to make them true HID you need a whole kit. Will run you between $450 and $600 or so. Check out Mr.Hyde's topic about his... gives some details on pricing and installation....

I don't mean to offend anyone but those instructions on the FAQ regarding clearing the lights are pretty vague don't ya think?

I don't know, some like Hyde has thanked me for the instructions and I hope many others were able to benefit from them. I just think the more detailed the instructions are, the better help they are.

For clearing lights, just look at this thread and scroll down a little and you will see my instructions on the "How to"

Lightbulb

Actually, I didn't check the FAQ as I was confusing it with the directions from acl.com , so no offense taken

So, on that note... here are the directions from there (check out soopa's reply): http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...ghlight=lights

Mr. - you now have 3 set of directions... so I think you should be OK

the fogs will cost you around $400-$570 cuz you need to get the ballast to run the xenon bulbs. and usually when you change the fogs, you will also want to change ur low beams to 6000k to match, unless you just want your fogs to be 4300k. no one has changed the parking lights to xenon cuz there are no xenon bulb that are that size, and plus its not really worth doing something like that. you will just have to choose to either go with white, or amber bulbs.
and for clearing, yes, use tuff gong's directions, they are great! and have a friend help you do it.

that depends what color you want. i have philips 9006 6000k hid conversion kit, and it is a purplish white color. but if you go with any 6000k bulbs, you will need to also swap out ur lowbeam bulbs to 6000k (D2R bulbs, about another $200+). or you may be able to find a set of 4300k from osram (same as stock headlights) but i dunno about that.

Is it possible to get a blueish tint to the xenons. that is what I want. Something similar to what the headlights look like. It looks so much better.
