Question Cleaning the suspension?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but hear me out...

Does anyone actually wash the suspension of the car? I mean like the shocks and springs. Because everytime I look into the wheel well, its all caked in dirt, but I dont want to clean it b/c im afraid I might mess something up. Is there anyway to clean it so I can actually see the shocks and springs?

Not just being anal about being clean, but I want to check if my shocks are leaking....my friend who has a 99tl with 70k miles on it was riding in my car the other day and he commented that he could feel every bump and irregularity in the road...I think my car is riding really rough now...and my suspension is bone stock. I have no idea whats going on...

No one? Something like simple green or anything? Is that safe to spray into the wheel well?

Burnslfie, tell your friend to stop HATIN on the TL and get a life. Simply Green will be fine if you really want to take it that far! I use to use it on my suspension before shows when I had to take a wheel off. Never had a problem.

you wont hurt them with any cleaner simple green will work, or any car wash.
kmans is about the best idea, that way it will blow off the dirt and you wont have to scrub
