Talking Cleaned my AEM CAI yesterday

I cleaned my AEM CAI yesterday after having it on already for about 15,000 miles. The filth that came off of it was disgusting and you can feel 1000% difference in the car now.

Best 45 minutes I ever spent!!

Boy I remember those days with the Civic and AEM. I use to have to take the front bumper off to clean it which wasn't that bad. For the CAI it was well worth it. Do you have to take the bumper off for the TL's?

From what I understand, the cone filter is accessible from the front left wheel well. You simply remove the plastic cover from above the wheel, and the cone is totally visible. No need to remove the bumper....I think

Yep, you're right. And that's how I installed my CAI. No need to take the front bumper off.

Directly in front of the driver's side front tire, there's a splash guard held in 4 screws. Get those out, bend the guard back and the filter is 100% accessible.

Speaking of which, does anyone know how to take the front bumper off? I shattered mine, and the new one's coming in next week. I need to find out how to take off the bumper.
