i think that u will have to remove the wax and then clay car then cause u waxed over all that stuff. I am new to this process to myself but I read in one post that the claybar will remove wax.. that I am not sure about.

Dawn is OK to use to strip wax off. It will not harm our clear coat. It is not Tide with bleach. I'd use it next time you wash your car. Then Clay it and rewax it, you'd be pleased.

The DAWN dishwshing detergent is quite okay to take off wax from you car. Ofcourse you would not use this as your normal carwash soap. If you go by the Zaino show car polish tips they say to use DAWN to get off the old wax. This is what many here have done when using the ZAINO polish. I did it last year on my Nighthawk Black TL. I am going to do it again first thing in the mourning as Iam about to do the whole Zaino show polish thing over. But the Dawn is safe for your car to strip off old wax & after you re wax or polish your car you would use your normal carwash stuff & not DAWN.

touch up paint ? I would not do that at this time. I am going to wash twice with DAWN but I am doing the whole ZAINO process with clay bar. I think a good thick bucket of DAWN should be okay.

thanx guys, one more thing, how long would i have to wait just for my present wax to just wear off on it's own, couple months??? and it's no point in applying touch up paint to a wax'd car correct?

if you touch up paint, you want the area to be clean and free of everything. so yeah, don't touch up a waxed car

most waxes will wear off in a month or so naturally, but do you really want to be going around with no wax for any time? just use the dawn, clay, and then rewax. There are about a dozen other things you can do sicne the wax is gone if you want a better shine, but just waxing should be fine. If the claying doesn't remove the rust and scratch marks, you may want to consider polishing.
