Post CL-S vs. TL-S ?!?

I have my CL-S loaner for 2 days now (installing body kit). Overall I would have to say that TL-S is a lot better car in almost all aspects.
One thing that I'm still trying to figure out, why didn't Acura used CL-S's front seats in the TL-S. These seats is what all the TypeS needs. When I corner on CL-S, I can feel how the seats are holding me in one position without throwing me around the seat.
In TL-S, I'm sliding all over the place unless I give resistance towards the seat. Because of that it feels like CL-S has a lot better handling, but mostly it feels like it due to the sporty 16-point seats (whatever they called).

Thumbs down

I know a lot of people feel the same way that the CLS seats are much more comfortable. I remember when I sat in the CLS and it was like sitting on your own couch. Oh well, I still pick the TLS over the CLS anyday.

I appologize. I probably didn't phrase it correctly. I meant 4dr vs 2dr. It's the same exact car, I agree.
I found that CL-S is louder than TL-S.

TL-S has longer wheelbase!! I remember reading some articles stating that TL-S corners more stable than CL-S due to its wheelbase..

Actually a longer wheel base does not equate to better handling, more room and better ride but not necessarily better handling. It is usally the other way around. Most sport cars have very short wheel base aka (NSX 99.6 in). It allows for the car to respond quicker. Think of trying to sway a 20ft thin stick Lt - Rt vs a 3ft stick its easer and faster and easier to shake the 3 ft.
wider stance usally equates to better handling, and the TL and CL have the same width.

So The TL should have more room and ride better. but probably not handle better.

thats one of the MAJOR reason why i picked the TLS instead ... cuz those mirrors bugs the shit outta me... (personal preference, no offense to anyone), and that the fog lights arent "real" as you called it... but anyhow, I've always liked sedans better than coupes anyway

BUT!!!! I really LOVE how the exhaust sounds on the CLS I was disappointed that the TL didnt get that exhaust instead =( they look better and sound better... *sigh* i guess we can't have everything we want

I think that I have finally decided on the 2002 CL-S with 6 speed, as my next car. just have to decide on the color and save my money. I also need to save my money for mods(Header, swaybars, intake, exhaust) That is just the start. I will hopefully get atleast the intake header exhaust in the first month or so. Then I will do the suspension a couple of months after that. Is Acura coming out with any new colors for the CL for 02. I really like the blue on the new RSX though.

Trying to decide
02 TL Type-S or
02 CL Type-S or
02 RSX Type-S
