Talking Civic Tried Too Take It Up A Notch

Hi Everyone Happy Holidays.....Last Nite I Was Driving Towards The RT 3 Ramp....Which is A High Way Near where i live when this red hatchback civic (Or What I Like To Call The Dime A Dozen Car) w an exaust came behind me and strated to rev its engine I glanced up and just looked down not really careing cause this car was not all that at all apparently the owner threw 150.00 exaust and a set of 20.00 blue headlight bulbs and though his car was phat but anyway we go on to rt 3 and he imediatley hit the gas and went right past me i didnt care let him think he had a shot then he slowed down to let me get close to him then he began to swirve into my lane and the passenger tried to flick a cigarette at my car at that point he pushed it 2 far...i then hit the gas and blew right past him and although he tired to catch up........HE NEVER DID.....Thought it was a good story and wanted to share....God I Hate Wanna Be BEEEEACHES

i tried to slow down so he'd get next to us again..but he kept slowing down with me

It might be a waste of gas, but sometimes you have to remind some people how sweet a j32a2 engine is .

haha....20 bucks they got off on the rt. 21 exit to passaic

2 kids in separate integras (92-93 era) tried to race me yesterday down main ave there, in basically stopped traffic. they'd keep letting the traffic ahead of them move up about 30 feet, then they gun it for 1/2 a second and jump on the brakes. wtf is the point of that $hit??

Heh, I figured so much. Wouldn't it be more economically feasible to just buy a faster car? But then again, I suppose a Civic is to tuners as a block of marble is to a sculptor.

I wonder the same thing.. Some people spend so much MONEY On there POS Civic and it equals the price of a good car, For example 18 Grand Civic + 5 Grand Mods =23 Grand and the most he probably go out of the civic was 200 HP.. why not just take the 23 Grand and buy a 240 HP 6 Speed Accord Coupe?
I guess the kids cant come up with the money all at once..

I agree. But it might not go as fast as the 23 Grand supped up POS CIVIC.

Cheers !!!

Basically weight reduction, turbo, and good shifting abilities. What helped was the fact the corvette dude kept spinning out his tires which cost him some time. They did three runs, one standstill, one rolling, and a freeway one or something like that. The ceevic beat the corvette in 2 of 3.

breaking the 6sec range to high 5 is kinda impossible unless u got a type-R engine swapped or turbo...

so the accord 6spd will win~

like peiqinglong said...they are light. And it don't take $23 to amke a civic fast. For the most part mods are cheap for civics because of the scale in whcih parts are sold for that car. and 200 hp in a civic is pretty damn fast...cheap and easy. THose cars can be seriously fast for less than $10k

remember, a lot of these kids w/ fast civics either got them as gifts (read: rich daddy), or thats the most money they could afford for a car. (a lot, not all...some just like it as a good lightweight base for racing)

its easier to get a couple credit cards and charge $10k in parts than it is to get a loan on a $30k car.

you can go out and buy a early 90's civic with high miles for 4 grand find one with a blown engine- even cheaper. swap a 1.8 gsr engine 1800 with necessary parts, get a turbo kit for around 4 grand spend a little time tuning and you have one FAST car for under 15K

Correction, You have "one FAST USED OLD car for under 15k" which probably wont last long, so your investment will be s#it..
