Question City Driving

What do you use for city driving? D3, D4 (or D5)?

I use D4. I read a long time before in another post that it helps put less wear and tear on the tranny.

Well, lol... since I only have the 4spd... thank God... I always leave it in D4. I baby it, and only use sport shift if I'm in an agressive driving mood.

City driving is ment to mean a lot of stop and go driving, not that you acutally need to drive in a city like NY or LA. Why would driving your car in the city **** it up? I drive on I4 and the traffic on the highway is bad as any traffic in the city. Its just hard on the car during rush hour.

No kiddin' man, I was in NY a few weeks ago and there was traffic almost the entire day. I remember getting stuck in traffic at around 11pm on a weeknight.....unbelievable.

If you leave it in D4, it will keep the car in 4th gear. D3 = 3rd gear etc. Like if you decided to tow something, you would leave it in 3rd or 4th gear instead of D5
