My roomate just bought an Audi A3 and got a performance chip installed and it increased his HP quite a bit and you could immediately tell a difference. Is there anything like that for the 03' TLS?

^^ ive heard there is, but it's too expensive, and duznt make much of a difference ... just what ive heard, i dont know too much about the second gen

my friend who owns a volkswagon golf gti was telling me about how they have this racing ECU that lies to your engine or something about air flow so it takes more in or some stuff. it's supposed to give you a good boost of HP for cheap.
maybe this is the same thing, anyone know?
