checking tranny oil
Anyone has trouble checking their tranny oil? Everytime I put out the stick, it always catches the remaining oil in the long tube. So by the time I check it, I have got oil all over the stick, I can't read clearly if it's low or not. The position where the stick is awkful, the engine and the ERG tube are hot, but manual tells you to check after shutting engine. I am wondering anyone has seen the original tranny oil drop below the LOW point before changing it for the first time. Cuz I don't want to drive my baby without enough oil in there. Thanks.

i've rarely encountered prolems with low transmission oil in my cars, but i agree that it's a pain to check the trans oil in the TL
but i've go used to it, you can pretty much pull it vertically avoiding the hot stuff, yes there will still be oil scattered on the stick but eventually you can tell where the actual oil level is anyways
