Changing remote battery.

I treid to search for these items but didn't get the right answer.

1. How to change remote battery?
2. Where and what do I spray to get rid of the smell from the air vents?

At the end of the remote where the ring is, there's a spot to insert a small screwdriver to pry open the remote. Replace the battery.

And no need to head to any dealer to buy a replacement battery for the key FOB... head to any store that carries various types of batteries (Shoppers, Canadian Tire, etc.) The batt is only a few dollars... As said - just insert something in the little slot/groove at the edge of the FOB and pry it open. You'll see the battery right away.

I had a moment earlier today where the car was not responding to my pressing the buttons on the remote. The little red light on the remote lit up each time I pressed a button, but the car did not respond for about 10 presses. Does this mean the battery is going, or is it just a fluke?

If the red LED lit up you still have battery, my remote does not have the greatest range. Do you have the same problem when you are close to the car?

Actually, I have pretty ridiculously long range w/ my remote. It usually holds true that if I can see my car, then it's within range! This problem occured when I was 5 feet away from my car in my driveway... I guess it was just a momentary malfunction.
