Congrats. I remember when I did mine, it had leaves and plenty of dust.

if no one has changed it before, there is a plastic panel you cut off with one sides tabs with scissors- very simple- designed to cut then bend back and forth to break off-
You turn it sideways on reinstall- has tabs and hole for the existing/provided screw!
See the DIY
Once a year is suggested by acura for change of that filter!- along with brake fluid
I use the shop vac to get all the leaves and stuff hidden in there

charcoal activated filters or bosch with a micro allergen treatment are very good
Users of charcoal added brands report smell free drives past cows~

many cars have over 100k miles and this was never done
Dealer gets 1.5 hours for a 20-30 minute job- next time will be 10 minutes DIY as the panel is alredy cut and you know where all the screws are

Just got the charcoal filter installed, and the air while driving is noticeably improved. I cannot smell as much of the fumes. $15 delivered from ebay

Should've done that instead of paying 46bucks at the stealership.

Do you use the standard filter or an improved one?
