Wanted to hear others experiences with a "Certified" vehicle. Supposedly they do a 150 point check, give you an extended warranty and a lot of goodies like new tires if half tread missing, etc. I just bought an off-lease certified 2003 TL s-type (black & beautiful). When I got it home I found the nastiest set of floor mats I'd ever seen in the trunk. I immediately called the salesman and he goes, OK we'll look in some of the others on the lot and swap.

Later I learned a "Certified" Acura should have a new set of replacement mats. Also, youre supposed to get 2 sets of keys and a "valet" key. They acted like they were doing me a favor by giving 2 sets of keys w/remotes. No valet key. Then I started wondering, do they really check and do all the things on the checklist? I could just envision some guy sitting in the car and just checking off all the items without even looking. It does have a new set of tires though. You should also get 12 mths roadside assistance but nothing was said about that.
