This is a problem that's been mentioned elsewhere. I had the same problem myself, and the dealer put a new cover on and I haven't had an issue since. (This was about 5 months ago.)
Repair was covered under warranty.
Good luck,
Paul

Mine did this shortly after taking delivery earlier this year. I hated to take it back to the dealer for something I knew I could easily fix myself as I have low confidence on the dealer's repair capabilities. I just took the plastic latch off, heated it up, bent the latch back, cooled it off, and reinstalled it. It's been fine ever since.

DHB has the best solution here. My latch is weak too, although it doesnt usually pop open while i am driving, it doesnt always close back down on the first try when i close the lid. The mechanism (if you can even call it that) is just a cheap platic tab that clearly doesnt have much grab. DONT try to bend it with your thumb or you will break it right off. But you can use a heat gun, and soften it up and then bend it with a thumb or pliers. It may be hot to the touch after the heat gun  so be careful if you use a thumb and maybe use a towel to bend and hold it til it cools down. If you dont have a heatgun, just unscrew the two screws that hold it on, and you can then use the less sophisticated lighter method to heat it. I wouldnt try the lighter in the car cause you might damage the rest of the cover or even burn the leather on the top of the lid. Even with the heat gun, its still best to take the latch off to work on it. We are only talking about a 5 min repair job here, even if you take it out.

Happened to me. Stopped by the dealer and they simply adjusted the latch. Took two minutes and it's been fine since...
It sure was annoying though. I kept hitting my elbow on the damn thing everytime I made a turn!!!
