Car idles funny?
Just noticed that my car idles funny in park. It's like a slight intermitent shudder. Not huge but you can feel it. What could this be. I was thinking either one of two things. Either the oxygen sensor is going and the fuel mixture is off or the intake manifold is all gunked up and needs to be cleaned which is likely seeing that I have 82k miles right now. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do this 'till 100k miles but I'm not sure. I've been using Prestone gas treatment for the past couple of months and my gas mileage has shot up from 320 per tank to 390 ( 'till the gas light comes on ) so I'm not so sure that it's the intake manifold. Any suggestions would be appreciated, the idle is bugging the sh@t out of me. Thanks
P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong section. Please feel free to move it if it is.

hey prtyatmoontower I have the same issue. Could be either of those two things you mentioned, doubtfully the O2 sensor though, but possibly. No worries it's not going to be a big problem. You could be proactive and remove IM and clean it with carb cleaner which would be great to do anyway. BTW do you know any good import shops in NH or ME.

the problem could engine/trans mount related depending driver. had an acura feild rep in the shop a few months ago went though absolutly everything even adjusted valves and still done the same. the car also had 3 trannys per customer for this problem and no change - so take a close look at your mounts to see if they are leaking.

Flyin' and Drivin'
Well I had the same problem a while ago, and it was just built up shit in the intake manifold, and a clogged EGR port, and clogged EGR valve. It runs like its brand new now! I also changed my spark plugs too. I had my ignition switch replaced today under warranty (recall) and there is nothing wrong with my car anymore!!! WOOHOO!!! Well, knock on fake acura wood.... I'm driving the thing to Orlando on Friday.
