car fluids

Hi everyone,

I took my car to the shop today, since my steering was shaking from braking at 50 mph. Yep, I'm another victim of warped rotors.

Anyway, I was talking to the service dept guy at the parts shop, and he recommends changing out ALL fluids annually (brake, especially tranny, coolant, power steering...), since it really doesn't cost THAT much extra. I guess that feeling of security and confidence in your car for having all new fluids every year is some sort of piece of mind for dropping the extra cash.

I guess for me (I put on 27K miles last year), it would be worthwhile to do it.

Just thought I'd share this with ya'll.

It sure can't hurt anything... especially with almost 30K miles on it.

As long as you're cool with the expense... go for it.

Southbound is right in that it won't hurt anything. However you really don't need to change the fluids so frequently. Follow the schedule in the owner's manual and it will be ok.

This is just another example of the dealer packing in services you don't really need to make a buck.
