Got my mods installed!!! (NOW WITH PICS!)

Finally got my car in the shop to have my stuff installed .. Can't wait anymore for the Stone Headers, will have to do that next month ...

Unfortunately, the EDFC is going to be really expensive to install! On the upwards of $300 over and above what I was quoted ... Sucks, but they said they'd make sure to do it right and run the wires well.

Should be about 2 days of install, but this is what I'll have after that:

- Tein SS Coilovers w/EDFC (Will be a 2.0 drop in the front, 1.75 in the rear)
- SPC Camber kit (front + rear)
- Comptech Icebox
- Comptech Swaybars

Total cost for the install was $915, but would have only been $600 w/o the EDFC.

Can't wait to get the car back, hope it handles like a dream!

EDFC = Electronic Dampening Force controller:

Tein EDFC

On another note, I got an Integra as my loan car! ... BOOO! ... Was hoping for at least an RSX. At least the Integra has leather and doesn't smell. The damn thing moves so slow and makes so much noise though!!!!

Its all installed! I couldn't get the stupid EDFC to work at first but now its working ... (when its off the car rides at its harshest dampening setting which makes the car bounce all over the place!!!)..

Even with it like that though the car rides AWESOME, I was able to take turns much faster and with much less body roll! The intake does seem to make a bit of difference from around 2500-4500rpms right before it hits VTEC range, but its so quiet you hardly even notice that its not stock.

Can't wait to get the headers!

I got the EDFC working now though, so I'm gonna go take a ride and check it out!!!! Will update with pics tomorrow after I wash the car.

OK, took it for another ride and was able to play with the different EDFC settings ...

At 0 (No dampening at all) the ride is way too harsh! I bottomed out the front right coilover once going down a hill and hitting a small pothole in the road. I think 0 dampening is probably only best for the track!

At 8 (1/2 way between soft and harsh), the car rides really nice. Its not too harsh and you get a good feel for the road. The car handles very nice at 8 too.

At 16 (softest ride) the car feels pretty much like stock. Its not 100% probably due in part to the car being lowered, but it feels VERY close to stock. I would most likely ride in this mode for casual and highway type driving.

Overall, the improvement in handling is very nice. I can't say whether or not the improvement is more from the swaybars or the coilovers, but its definitely a nice improvement!!!

Does the EDFC allow you to automatically adjust your drop (almost like hydraulics), or does it just adjust the stiffness of the ride?

EDFC only allows you to adjust dampening/stiffness of the ride. It is actually only adjusting how stiff the shocks are, so the springs themselves aren't really being adjusted at all and neither is the ride height.

It makes a huge difference in ride quality though. Even with my 2.0/1.75 drop, if I put the dampening at full dampening, the ride feels almost like stock!
